Web Site Shows Neighborhood Zoning Changes
A new city Web site lets New Yorkers check zoning applications as they travel through the approval process.
The Zoning and Land Use Web application, dubbed “ZoLa”, also posts color-coded maps that show affordable housing units and city landmarks in every neighborhood in the five boroughs.
“ZoLa is a unique tool with a wealth of land use information,” city Department of Planning Commissioner Amanda Burden said. City workers spent 18 months working on the program, she said.
The Web site can be reached at www.nyc.gov/planning.
