On May 14, Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. joined members of the American Mideast Leadership Network (AMLN), Astoria Park Alliance and the NYPD Youth Explorers at Astoria Park for their annual shoreline and park clean up. AMLN founder and director Rami Nuseir organized the event in which Vallone and volunteers removed glass bottles and debris from the shoreline.
