Flush Out Bootleg Goods In Flushing
Police at the Queens Vice and Major Case Squads last week arrested 26 members of a Flushing gang for trafficking bootleg cigarettes and counterfeit clothing, authorities said.
The arrests came during a series of raids in Flushing where cops seized 2,350 cartons, $4 million worth of phony cigarettes, Coach™ and Gucci shoes, Air Jordan sneakers and North Face® jackets.
Police sources said members of the gang, led by Baocheng (Fat Boy) Huang, 31, imported poor quality cigarettes from China and repackaged them as Marlboro and Newport brands and then sold them to “runners” who sold them to local bodegas.
The gang members were indicted on counterfeiting and related charges following a 10-month NYPD investigation.

Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate three bandits who swiped $30,000 worth of computers from a Best Buy store in Elmhurst on March 2.
Cops said the thieves pried open a rear fire door at the store in the Queens Center Mall on 56th Avenue and Queens Boulevard at about 2:30 a.m. where they stole the computers and fled in an unknown direction.
The thieves, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans, took 50 laptops that were stored on flatbed carts, jumped into a waiting vehicle and drove away, security personnel told police.

Victims Turn On Robber
Two Queens men who were threatened at gunpoint last week by a brazen street thief turned on their attacker, chased him and held him until police arrived.
Cops said Tony Nunez, 19, approached the victims on 83rd Street and 37th Avenue as they were viewing photos on an iPhone. Nunez flashed a silver pistol at the victims and ordered them to hand over the phone.
When the victims refused to comply and screamed for the police, Nunez left the scene with the two men chasing him.
A police officer on foot patrol out of the 115th Precinct joined in the chase helping the victims tackle Nunez a short distance away. The officer arrested Nunez and recovered a silver pellet gun from him, police said.
Nunez was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
