Gotti Grandson Arrested
Police arrested the teenage grandson of John Gotti on Halloween night when he and three friends tried to flee in a car after one of the teens allegedly fired a pellet gun, police sources said.
A team of plainclothes cops responded to 911 callers who said P.S. 207 in Howard Beach was being vandalized by teens in an apparent Halloween prank.
The cops arrived at about 8:30 p.m. to find a group of teens toilet-papering the school and spraying it with shaving cream, the sources said.
Moments later, the officers heard a shot and spotted four youths fleeing in an Acura Infiniti, driven by the 17-year-old grandson of the late reputed mob boss, also named John Gotti, son of Peter Gotti.
The cops followed the Infiniti for several blocks before pulling it over and taking the four teens into custody, the sources said.
Sources said that although the teens tossed the pellet gun from the car, the cops were able to recover the weapon.
Police said the other teens in the car, ages 14, 15 and 17 were not identified.
Police said charges on each of the teens were pending.
