The United Community Civic Association (UCCA) cordially invites everyone to its ninth annual 9/11 Memorial Candlelight Ceremony at McManus Memorial Park, 81st Street and the Grand Central Service Road in Astoria Heights on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The ceremony is a joint effort with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey The Memorial, a grove of trees, honors not only the Port Authority employees who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Fire, Police and EMS, but also the thousands of other innocents who perished during the terrorist attacks. The Memorial Candlelight Ceremony is intended to ensure that the community will never forget.

Candles for use in the ceremony will be supplied and refreshments will be served afterward.
