US Open Offers Jobs For Queens Residents Queens residents seeking employment in a tightening job market are urged to apply for positions at the US Open tennis tournament, coming to the USTA National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park on August 28. The US Open, the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, is currently accepting applications from Queens residents for 700-plus positions for vendors, cashiers, cooks and stand managers through event coordinators at Amerivent. For information or to apply, visit www.amerivents.com. Applicants will be notified where and when in-person interviews will be held, an Amerivent spokesperson said. No experience is necessary, Amerivent President James Della Pace said. “Just bring a great attitude.” The jobs pay $8 to $14 an hour and include flexible hours for applicants seeking part-time, overnight or weekend employment.
