Steinway Street Features Day-Long Music Festival


The first ever Make Music New York Steinway event was held on Monday, June 21, in recognition of the first day of summer. The music festival took place along Steinway Street from 4 to 7 p.m. in front of six locations as part of a day-long street sale. Tax Pros, 28-10 Steinway St., featured the groups Behind the Façade, Pramanik and Midnight High. Treasures, 28-53 Steinway St., was the venue for Phil Kennelty, Tobi D’Amore and Malena, while people gathered in front of Fantasy Interiors, 30-32 Steinway St., to watch Crayon Mafia, Tower 88 and Nervous Breakdowns (shown above). Lincoln Hallmark, 30-16 Steinway St., greeted guests with the musical talents of Student of Rebel Rose, Area, 30-29 Steinway St., featured Zach Sorano, and Party Fair, 34-14 Steinway St., presented Ekklesia. Music lovers were treated to the antics of Bobo the Hobo, who provided face painting and performed balloon tricks.
