Vallone Donates 3,000 Books To Variety Boys & Girls Club

On Wednesday, May 19, City Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. visited the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens to hand out books to children. Due to his efforts, Vallone was able to secure a donation of more than 3,000 books for the club.

He also met with Board President Suzanne Robotti and new Executive Director Terry Hughes for a tour of the renovated facility, including a newly refurbished gymnasium. Vallone has been a long-time supporter of the club, which was founded by his grandfather, Judge Charles J. Vallone, and gives it more than $200,000 of discretionary funding each year.
