Pulls Gun Over Dog Droppings
A 27-year-old Astoria woman this week is facing weapons charges after she pulled a pistol on a homeowner who complained about a doggie deposit on her front lawn.
Police said Sheri Fawcett was walking her dog at about 8 p.m. on March 10 when the pooch stopped to relieve itself on the lawn in front of the home at Crescent Street and Astoria Boulevard.
Police said when the homeowner ran out to complain, Fawcett pulled a black pistol from her pants, pointed it at the terrified man and asked, “Do you see my gun?”
The homeowner alerted police who went to Fawcett’s home to investigate, the sources said. When the cops arrived, Fawcett freely admitted to possession of marijuana and a gravity knife along with the pistol, the sources said.
Fawcett was arrested and charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and drug possession.
