Mets Offer ‘Amazin’ Jobs

By Liz Goff

Queens’ boys of summer, along with their services company, ARAMARK, are currently accepting applications for a host of positions at Citi Field for the 2010 baseball season, including cashiers, counter workers, food service helpers, porters, cleaners, cooks, catering attendants, guest attendants, “runners” and supervisors.

The part-time jobs run from April to October 2010, based on the Mets home game schedule and other special events at Citi Field.
The Mets are also accepting applications for fan greeters, hosts and hostesses, security workers and security supervisors, parking attendants and supervisors.

Ideal candidates should have experience in food or retail services. Candidates must be able to work flexible schedules – including days, nights and weekends.

Applicants must be 18 years old and must possess engaging personality and excellent guest service skills, Mets management said.
Go to mets.com/citifieldjobs for information or to apply.

Note: There are currently no openings for “roving vendors” at Citi Field.
