Cataclysm in Blue Water Author Talk At Seaburn Books
Seaburn Bookstore, 33-18 Broadway, Astoria will host an hour of reading, discussion and book signing with Renee Louise Johnson, author of Cataclysm in Blue Water, on Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m.
Writer, traveler, adventurer, wife and mother, Johnson is also a CPA with an MBA in finance. She published the complex, historical mystery at the heart of Cataclysm in Blue Water after sailing into Santorini and realizing that her ship was bobbing in the caldera of a volcano, a realization that led to14 years of researching, and three years of writing. “I gazed at the sheer cliffs –the result of a blast equal to millions of atomic bombs –in complete awe and wonder. The immediate and absolute recognition that this would be the subject matter of my first novel was as clear and dazzling as the deep blue,” she says.
Johnson weaves a mystery that spans the ages from the times of ancient Minoan civilization in 1886 B.C.E to the present day. Mystery fans, as well as those interested in Greece or Greek history, will enjoy meeting and talking with Johnson, who will speak about her travels, her inspirations, and the painstaking research that gives this novel its historical grounding.
All are welcome at the free event on Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call Seaburn Events Coordinator Jennifer Kilmer at 718-267-7929 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
