Borough-Wide Blotter 108th Precinct Hunt Gas Station Bandits Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate two suspects sought in connection with the late night armed robbery of a Woodside gas station. Police said the two men walked into the gas station at 69-02 Queens Blvd. at about 3:30 a.m. on September 5, where they threatened a clerk at gunpoint and ordered him to hand over all available cash. The clerk complied, and the pair fled the location with an undetermined amount of money, police said. The suspects are described as black males, 25 to 30 years old. One of the suspects was wearing a white hooded jacket, red baseball cap, black jeans and black sneakers, police said. His accomplice was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a dark baseball cap and tan boots at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800- 577-TIPS. The Hotline is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. 111th Precinct Oakland Gardens Weapons Seized A 50-year-old Oakland Gardens man landed behind bars on September 27 after police, acting on a tip, found a stockpile of weapons in his home. Police said the tipster led them to the 202nd Street home of Richard Lu, where the cops recovered a small arsenal including a Colt AR-15 assault rifle, a Ruger Mini-15 rifle and two shotguns. Lu was arrested and charged with weapons possession. 114th Precinct Crowbar 'Bullies' Busted Police in Astoria arrested a crowbarwielding attacker on September 27 after the thug threatened his victim to "pay up" or suffer the consequences. Police said David Lacarriere [sic], 32, grabbed a man as he walked on 26th Street and 21st Avenue at about 7:50 p.m. on September 27. Sources said Lacarriere demanded the victim repay a $100 loan. When the victim said he didn't have the money, Lacarriere threatened him with the crowbar, reached into his pocket and snatched his car keys. An officer assigned to the 114th Precinct on patrol spotted the confrontation and stopped Lecarriere [sic] for questioning, police said. |
