Vallone Jr. Gets M60 Bus Shelter Installed In Astoria

A new M60 bus shelter and sign was installed at Columbus Square, 31st Street and Hoyt Avenue South in Astoria with the help of Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr.

The M60 bus is well used by many people going to LaGuardia Airport. "Traveling to the airport could often be frustrating, especially when you have to catch a bus at a hectic intersection," Vallone said. "We wanted to make things a little easier for our residents and visitors by protecting them from rain under a bus shelter or allowing a few minutes of rest on a bench before standing on a line at the airport."
