The District Attorneys Association of New York state celebrated its centennial on September 2 by honoring Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau's lifetime of outstanding public service. The celebration included the creation of the Morgenthau Award, which will be conferred annually on four assistant district attorneys from around the state who best exemplify Morgenthau by demonstrating that outstanding achievement is tempered by the recognition that the obligation of district attorneys is to do justice, not just obtain convictions.
