Flushing Man Lands In The Doghouse

Flushing Man Lands In The Doghouse

A Flushing woman got the shock of her life on Sunday morning, August 30 when she went to let her dog out for his morning run and found a man covered with a blanket in the dog’s bed.

Police said Kathleen Kelly was just about to let her pooch out the door when she discovered the drunken stranger curled up in the pup’s blanket.

Kelly tiptoed out of her apartment and went to a neighbor’s home, where she called 911.

Police who arrived at the apartment woke Manuel DeJesus, 19, and asked him, “Buddy, what are you doing here?” DeJesus, who downed nine Coronas on Saturday night, replied, “Mi Casa (My house),” police said.

Kelly told police DeJesus probably wandered into her apartment in a drunken stupor through a back door she left unlocked when she let her dog out at about 1 a.m. on August 30.

DeJesus, who lives several blocks from Kelly, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
