Koch Endorses Paul Vallone For Council Seat


Mayor Edward I. Koch (r.) has announced his endorsement of Paul Vallone's campaign for New York City Council in the 19th District of Northeast Queens. Koch, a Democrat and former mayor of New York City, is known for taking the city from bankruptcy in 1978 to a $500 million surplus by 1983. As the 105th mayor of New York City, Koch served three terms and is also credited with establishing extensive housing programs.
