Steinway Restaurant Is QEDC Food Contest Overall Favorite

   More than 500 food lovers, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, Spencer Ferdinand and Michelle Stoddart of the Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) and the QEDC Board of Directors gathered at the Caesars Club at Citi Field for the Queens A Taste of the World food-tasting event. Although the Mets were playing an away game series, their mascot, Mr. Met, joined the festivities.
The Taste of the World event, sponsored by the Queens Economic Development Corporation, as well as a fundraiser for the QEDC, serves as an opportunity to focus attention on the many outstanding eateries of Queens.
 Steinway Restaurant, located at the Marriott LaGuardia Hotel, was named Queens A Taste Of The World Overall Favorite for the second year in a row. Last year, the event was held at the Billie Jean US Tennis Center.

3. Best Dessert - Cascon Baking Company
4. Best Drink (Alcohol) - Domaine de Canton
5. Best Drink (Non-Alcohol) - Coca Cola Fuze, presented by Coca Cola Bottling Co. NY
6. Best Overall - Steinway Restaurant
