Crystal Windows Fetes Trade Customers

Crystal Window & Door Systems recently hosted its first "old fashioned backyard summer barbecue" for trade customers. In appreciation for all their past business, local area window installers, home improvement contractors and builders were treated to grilled hamburgers, franks, salads, chips and cold beverages prepared and served by Crystal managers and staff. Guided factory tours of the Crystal plant were also available to the guests.

The midday Friday affair, held on the shaded grassy side yard of Crystal's facility in College Point Corporate Park in Flushing, offered a very welcome break of food, fun, and business fellowship to more than 50 appreciative tradespersons. Steve Chen, Crystal executive vice president and assistant grill master for the day, said, "Giving something back to our loyal trade customers, especially in these tough economic times, lets them know how much we value them." Noting how the Crystal family from the top down works together, Chen added, "Everyone at Crystal was happy to pitch in to help make the day a success. Even my dad, Thomas (Crystal president and founder), took off his dress shirt and tie and donned a tee shirt for the afternoon. The response from our customers was so positive, we are already planning our next contractor barbecue."
