Free Lunch For Kids

The Queens Public Library will distribute free bagged lunches, Monday through Friday, at the eight branch locations listed below to children 18 and younger now through August 29:

The lunches are being provided weekdays by the NYC Department of Education. Children do not need to be enrolled in a summer school or other program, and no forms, certification, documentation or proof of age is required. There are more than 1,000 Summer Meals citywide and families can call 311 for other locations.

While having lunch children, teens and adults are invited to sign up for free Summer Reading. Summer reading makes better readers, and better readers make better students, and better students make better citizens.
