Facts About Obama
To The Editor:

Well known facts exist regarding Barack Obama which may be legal but not beyond question. As chairman of Chicago's Health & Human Services Committee, he pushed through the Health Facilities Planning Act, reducing board members from 15 to 9, making votes easier to pass, and subsequently received money from board nominees. In December 2004, board members (friends of Tony Rezko, real estate developer and Chicago fundraiser, and nominated at Rezko's request) attempted to extort money from the CEO of Edward Hospital but the FBI wiretapped a board member's phone and caught evidence on tape.

Despite the fact that the Chicago Sun- Times reported continuous stories about Rezko's indictments, he remained one of Obama's main fundraisers and Obama, in the midst of his run for the U.S. Senate, kept Rezko on his finance committee and continued to take Rezko's money. Obama became a member of the U.S. Senate in 2005. Three weeks later, Michelle Obama was appointed a position at the University Of Chicago Hospitals, which nearly tripled her salary.

Indictment headlines regarding Rezko were almost non-stop during Obama's forthcoming Rezko real estate deal. A company related to Nadhmi Auchi, convicted British-Iraqi billionaire, registered a $3.5 million loan to Rezko. Three weeks later Obama and Rita Rezko (Tony's wife) bought Chicago properties. Obama bought a $1.65 million mansion. Mrs. Rezko bought a $625,000 adjoining lot.

But once Rezko was found guilty of mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and abetting bribery; Obama, saying he was troubled, declared that Rezko was not the man he'd known for 20 years.

Throughout everything, Obama prayed with his pastor, the very inflammatory Jeremiah Wright, and continually sought Wright's guidance but when Wright's excessive inflammatory, racist behavior was exposed, Obama said he was once again troubled and declared Wright was not the pastor he'd prayed with for 20 years.

Any president of the United States does not have the luxury of 20 years to come to a conclusion! Will Obama's behavior elude adult investigation or will it continue to be brushed aside into a dangerous world of silence?
