Business, Pleasure Or Both, Milan Is Sure To Please

The Acanto Restaurant at the elegant, five-star luxury Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan is a popular dining spot for American Airlines' passengers traveling on its new JFK-Milan direct flight.
It's definitely old world.

Yet it's a business center as modern as any you'll find. And if you love art, fashion, design, music, theater, and great cuisine, this city can overwhelm you.

Yes, we're talking about Milan, the city that will host the 2015 Expo! And the good news is that you can fly there direct from New York's JFK International Airport, beginning May 1 on American Airlines.

The new JFK-Milan route is part of American's drive to grow and enhance its New York service into Europe. The airline also began flying direct from JFK to Barcelona on April 24, and it will add a second daily roundtrip between JFK and London's Stansted Airport on August 1.

American will fly all three new routes with its two-class (Business and Economy/Coach) Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 221 seats, including 30 Next Generation Business Class seats.

"These new routes further demonstrate American's commitment to New York as an important international gateway," American Executive Vice President- Marketing Dan Garton said. "That commitment equates to 244 daily departures from our New York airports to 60 nonstop destinations, 26 of which are international. Adding Barcelona, Milan and London Stansted will greatly benefit our New York customers as well as those who connect to these flights from elsewhere."

American also continues to serve London Heathrow from several U.S. gateways, including five daily round trips from JFK. In addition, American flies non-stop from JFK to Brussels, Zurich, Rome and Paris.

Here are the schedules and times for American's three new routes from JFK- all times local:

American, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, and American Eagle combine to carry more than 16 million passengers each year to and from four New York-area airports (John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark, and White Plains/Westchester County) on more than 180,000 flights.
