Powhatan-Pocahontas Dem Clubs Dinner-Dance Nears Riccardo's by the Bridge will be decked out in its festive best the night of Friday, May 16 when the catering facility will be the scene of one of the premier social events of the year- the Powhatan and Pocahontas Regular Democratic Clubs' 2008 annual dinner-dance. A cocktail hour will begin at 7 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 8 p.m. A high point of the event will be the Clubs' special recognition of this year's honorees. Community Board 1 and Astoria Kiwanis member and longtime civic activist Julian Wager will also be honored for his many contributions to the area. Also due to receive welldeserved recognition for his efforts to make Astoria one of Queens' premier communities is Michael Serao of Commerce Bank, currently serving on the boards of the Astoria Civic Association, Astoria Kiwanis and Out Astoria.
