SCS Offers Free Workshop On String Quilting

The Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) is offering a free, three-session workshop on string quilting in collaboration with instructors from Elder Craftsmen, Inc. The workshop is scheduled to meet on Friday, May 2, 9, and16, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Each participant will craft their own quilted pillow. For families, SCS is offering The Family Literacy Program at P.S. 199 which includes free English and computer classes, homework help, literacy fun, Parent and Child Time (PACT), field trips and much, much more.
