Governor Throws Out First Ball On Jackie Robinson Day
Governor David Paterson throws out the ceremonial first ball of the Mets-Nationals game at Shea Stadium on April 15, celebrated as Jackie Robinson Day throughout Major League Baseball. Robinson, the first African- American to play for a Major League team, the Brooklyn Dodgers, broke baseball's color barrier 61 years ago.
