York's Kasza Makes All-CUNYAC Second Team
Kasza, a freshman who split time at setter and outside hitter, was the Cardinals' most consistent player throughout the season. Kasza led York in nearly every category this season, including hitting percentage (.234), assists per game (4.55), service aces (42) and digs (120). He also ranked fourth in the conference with 0.46 aces per game. Kasza's top game came against SUNYIT on March 22, where he recorded a season-high 14 kills and had 10 digs. On February 5 against Medgar Evers, Kasza recorded a season-best nine aces. Baruch's Danial Levent was named CUNYAC Player of the Year, while Ray Bello and Pablo Oliveira of Hunter were named Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively. CCNY's Rafael Jerez was named Libero of the Year. York finished the season with a record of 5-25 and fell to Baruch in the CUNYAC quarter finals. |
