114th Police Pct. Blotter Highlights Sunday, March 23: • A 73-year-old Hispanic male in a car accident at Broadway and 30th Street was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed operator after he was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended license. • A 17-year-old black male was charged with robbery after he forcibly took a victim's cellphone at 38th Street and 34th Avenue. Saturday, March 22: • A 20-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed smoking marijuana in public at 42- 02 Northern Blvd. • A 23-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed in possession of marijuana in public at 38th Street and 23rd Avenue. • A 24-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of narcotics after he was found in possession of heroin on 41st Street between 36th and 35th Avenues. • A 17-year-old black male was observed driving a scooter on the wrong side of the road and when police attempted to stop him, refused to pull over, causing a dangerous condition as he fled. When he was stopped at 30-69 Hobart St., he was found to be operating the scooter without a license. He was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, reckless endangerment and unlicensed operator. • A 21-year-old Hispanic male was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny after he removed a victim's property without permission from a jacket that the victim had hung in a closet. The perpetrator was arrested at 23rd Avenue and Steinway Street. • A 26-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking alcohol in public on 29th Avenue between 21st and 14th Streets and on further investigation, was found to have no form of identification on his person. • A 38-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal trespass after he was observed in a fenced-in area at 50-02 Northern Blvd. without permission; a 41-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal trespass after he was observed in a fenced-in area at 50-01 Northern Blvd. without permission. • A 26-year-old Hispanic female was charged with avoiding an intersection after she was observed cutting through a parking lot to avoid an intersection. After she was stopped at 28-27 Steinway St., she was found to be wanted on two active warrants. • An 18-year-old white male and a 20-yearold Hispanic male were charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana after they were observed smoking marijuana in public at 36-32 38th St. and were found in possession of marijuana. • A 32-year-old Hispanic male was charged with menacing, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after he displayed a firearm, causing a victim to fear for his safety. The incident occurred at 35-43 Steinway St. • A 29-year-old Hispanic male was charged with resisting arrest and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking alcohol in public at 32-75 32nd St. and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. Friday, March 21: • A 20-year-old Hispanic male was charged with disorderly conduct after he was observed fighting another person in public at 23rd Avenue and Steinway Street. • A 14-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., after he punched a victim in the nose. • A 33-year-old black male was charged with disorderly conduct after he was observed yelling obscenities in public at 24th Street and 34th Avenue and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. • A 12-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing after he threatened to harm a victim with a knife he had in his possession. The incident took place at 31-20 37th St. • A 31-year-old black male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking alcohol in public at 34-17 37th St. and on further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. • A 28-year-old black male was observed disobeying a stop sign. When he was stopped, he was found to have a suspended license. When he was arrested at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., he was found to be in possession of crack. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator and failure to obey a traffic device. • A 31-year-old black male was observed drinking alcohol in public at 34-17 37th St. and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. • A 25-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was found in possession of heroin on 41st Street between 36th and 35th Avenues. Thursday, March 20: • A 14-year-old Hispanic female was charged with assault and harassment after she punched a victim in the face at 31st Drive and 21st Street. • A 14-year-old Hispanic female was charged with aggravated harassment after she repeatedly threatened a victim via text on a cellphone. The incident took place at Long Island City H.S., 14- 30 Broadway. • A 50-year-old Hispanic male was charged with possession of a forged instrument and disorderly conduct after he was observed blocking pedestrian traffic at 42-02 Northern Blvd. and upon further investigation, produced forged identification. • A 16-year-old Hispanic female was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after she was observed in public at 25-69 38th St. with a box cutter. • Two 14-year-old black males were charged with robbery after they punched a victim and stole the victim's PSP (Play Station Portable). The incident occurred at Crescent Street and 30th Road. |
