Cops Seek Help To I.D. Stab Victim Queens detectives are asking the public for help in solving a murder mystery. Detectives recently released a composite sketch (see sketch) of a man whose skeletal remains were found in September 2007 along railroad tracks in Flushing. They also released a description of clothing found with the remains, hoping someone will come forward to assist in identifying the victim. Police said a track worker made the grisly discovery at about 3:30 p.m. on September 20, on Long Island Rail Road tracks near 160th Street and Northern Boulevard. The victim was wearing a black Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt with the word, "Tommy" written across the front. The man was also wearing dark-colored size 32 jeans, leopard print underwear and brown and green work boots. The victim was an Asian male, between 30 and 35-years-old and about 5-feet 5-inches tall. Police believe the man was murdered anywhere from two to eight years ago, after suffering several stab wounds to the torso. Anyone with information on the victim is urged to call the Queens Cold Case Unit at 718-776-9269 or the crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.- Liz Goff |
