Mets Single Game Ticket Sales Start Along With D.S.T.

Single game tickets for the New York Mets' final season at Shea Stadium went on sale Sunday, March 9 at 9 a.m., starting at $5, and exceeded first-day sales figures for 2007, Mets officials said. The March 9 single game ticket sales date began the same day as Daylight Savings Time, with Dunkin' Donuts providing coffee and donuts to the first 250 fans at Shea. The Mets open their 81-date home schedule Tuesday, April 8 against the division rival Philadelphia Phillies.

More than 700,000 tickets for 34 of the Mets' 81 regular season games are priced at $10 or under. Mets Single Game Tickets can be purchased as follows:

• At Mets.com and LosMets.com,

• By calling the Mets Ticket Office at (718) 507-TIXX,

• At Shea Stadium (Advance Ticket Window and Group Sales Office),

• At the Mets Clubhouse Shops across from Bryant Park in Manhattan on 42nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island,

• At KeySpan Park in Brooklyn or

• By phone for Disabled Seating at 718- 565-4360 and TDD at 718-672-9163.

Non-refundable service charges are applicable on tickets purchased through Mets.com, by phone, and at the Mets Clubhouse Shops. MasterCard is the Preferred credit card of the Mets. Fans will have the same ticket inventory availability online at Mets.com and LosMets.com, on the 718-507-TIXX phone line, and at the Mets Clubhouse Shops, as those wishing to wait in line at Shea Stadium. Limited inventory for Opening Day, the Subway Series at Shea, and the final regular season game at Shea are available in Mets Season Tickets, select Ticket Plans and select Seven Packs. Single game tickets for these five games sold out through an online random drawing in February that generated in excess of 275,000 registrations.

Fans have purchased more than 2.25 million tickets for 2008 and ticket sales are outpacing last year's comparable year-to-date record setting sales by 15 percent. Full season ticket holders in 2008 will have priority in purchasing season tickets at Citi Field, the new Mets ballpark opening in 2009.
