Go Egg-static For Easter At The Queens Zoo

Head to the Queens Zoo for an egg-streme Easter egg-stravaganza! If all those chocolate bunnies, marshmallow eggs and jelly beans have given you egg-stra energy this weekend, take a trip to the Wildlife Conservation Society's Queens Zoo for its annual "Egg-Stravaganza" event on Saturday, March 22, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy a day chock-full of spring-like activities and games, an amazing egg hunt, and- if you can handle it- more chocolate!

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a "meet-and-greet" with the zoos very own Flemish giant rabbits, Henry and Herbie, weighing almost 20 pounds themselves, these are two of the largest bunnies you'll ever see.

More egg-stravagant activities include:

•Egg Quest- While visiting our animals, see how many colorful eggs you can find, scattered around the grounds. When you think you've got them all, head to the Discovery Room for a special holiday surprise.

•Egg Jeopardy- Learn about the diversity of animal eggs, their shapes, colors, and sizes. Then, egg-knowledge what you've learned at the zoo's very own egg-Jeopardy game!

•Follow that Bunny! - Scour the zoo and see if you can find Billy the Bunny. (Hint: He's tall, has dark brown fur, and will be handing out lots of free candy.)

•Arts & Crafts- Paper bunnies, flowers, eggs, and more are just a few things kids can make to celebrate spring.

Spring hours begin Saturday, March 22, Monday to Friday10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April through October.

Admission is $6 adults, $2.25 seniors 65+, $2 kids three to12 and free under 3.
