The new logo that will adorn Citi Field in Flushing when the New York Mets hold their opening home game in 2009 was shown to the world for the first time at the Mets’ spring training home, Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Monday, February 25.

Jeff Wilpon, Mets Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Pearlberg, Citibank Atlantic Division Manager, Mets General Manager Omar Minaya, Mets Manager Willie Randolph and players Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes and Johan Santana unveiled the new logo at the 9 a.m. ceremony.
