Charter School Accepting Applications

City Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. announced that the Our World Neighborhood Charter School (OWN) is now accepting applications. The deadline for applications, available at Vallone's office, is April 4.

Opened in 2002, OWN has a mission of educating students and forming them into independent thinkers and lifelong learners. The school, located at 36-12 35th Ave., is K- 8 and has a track record of high test scores in both English and math.
