York College men's basketball standout Aaron Wilson took home a pair of weekly honors Monday, January 28, thanks to his performance in an 86-72 win over Brooklyn College on Saturday, January 26. Wilson was named the CUNY/Con Edison Men's Basketball Player of the Week and in addition, was named to the Presto Sports/Metro Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Honor Roll.
Wilson was instrumental in helping the Cardinals take first place from Brooklyn College Saturday as he netted a seasonhigh 27 points, while grabbing nine rebounds and handing out four assists. Wilson is averaging 16.3 points per contest since joining the Cardinals after the New Year. Coach Ronald St. John's squad is 6-1 since his arrival.
