Police said Robert Kruger was arrested and brought to the 110th Precinct for processing on the minor offense at about 2 p.m. During processing, Kruger told a sergeant at the 43rd Avenue precinct he was going to file a civilian complaint against the arresting officer, claiming the cop stole $20 from him. He then offered the sergeant a way out for the police officer, saying he wouldn't file the false complaint if the sergeant gave him a desk appearance ticket instead of sending him through the system on the minor offense. The sergeant alerted his supervisors and Kruger is now facing a misdemeanor charge of riding his bicycle into pedestrians on the sidewalk along with felony bribery charges, authorities said. |
