107th Police Precinct Community Outreach Become a member of the Explorers Program for young men and women 14 to 20 years. What you get: character development, which helps with making ethical choices; service learning, that encourages the skill and desire to help others; life skills, boosts self-confidence and developing mental fitness, and leadership experience which builds on the skills in order to fulfill responsibilities. Meetings are held at the 107th Police Precinct, Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, Wednesdays, 4-6 p.m. and the Explorers partake in monthly trips such as movies, bowling, community service, fundraising and more. The 107th Precinct also has crime prevention programs for members of the community such as Residential Security Surveys where the crime Prevention Specialist can visit your home or business and conduct a security survey. All security devices, locks, windows, doors and alarms are checked thoroughly to determine their effectiveness. A written confidential report is provided by the police officer after the survey is complete. Additional programs are available: Glass VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Etchin;; C.A.T. Program (Combat Auto Theft); Commuter C.A.T.: This program is set specifically for residents who commute and leave their vehicles parked for the day, the hours of operation for this program are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; H.E.A.T.
