Resents Mortgage Bailout
To The Editor:

Asemblywoman Audrey Pheffer, a candidate for Queens Borough president, wants to help homeowners who can't pay their mortgages with mytax payer dollars.

I live in a four and a half room apartment and pay my taxes. Thousands of people in Queens live in apartments. Why should my tax dollars go to pay for someone who lives in a $500,000 house and can't pay his mortgage?

At the end of the day, we still live in apartments and a deadbeat homeowner who bought a house that he can't afford still lives in a fancy dwelling.

I'm sure the Queens taxpayer will welcome this new addition to the spend-forvotes group and forget about the people who have to work hard to pay their taxes and everyone else's expenses. Kenneth L. Brown Forest Hills
