Asks For History Help
To The Editor:

My 7th grade geography class is studying the United States. I chose your state because I was born in Yonkers, New York. I know that Manhattan was named after the tribe, Manahatta. I also know that Yonkers is near The Bronx. The state nickname is the Empire State and New York appeared in some movies such as "Wolf", "Wolfen", Stephen King's "The stand", and the new movie, "I Am Legend".

I would like to know more about the state, such as information of cities near the capitol, famous city/cities, or about the state and your state's history, foundation, cause, geography and timeline.

It would be extremely helpful for me to gather first-hand information from your readers that could be used in my report.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could print my letter in your newspaper so that readers could send me some information if they would be willing to help our class out.
