Senior Services Expanded At Elmcor

Assemblymember Jeffrion Aubry, City Councilmember Helen Sears and Victoria Williams executive director of Elmcor, Youth & Adult Activities, Inc., will conduct a grand opening ceremony celebrating the expansion of Lefrak Senior Center at St. Paul's Parish Hall, 98-16 55th Ave., on Friday November 21,11 a.m.

Aubry stated, "This is a great time for the senior[s] in our community. The expansion of our Elmcor Senior Center has increased its meal service [from] 40 to 90 per day. Our new home has given our senior individuals access to [some]place to meet friends and play cards, exercise and challenge them in academics, health and wellness and great social interaction with others."

"Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, Inc., is very pleased and excited that we will be able to provide [an] expansion of services and space for seniors. It has been a long time coming— finding a new home.

"We invite all senior[s] to come and spend the day at our new location and enjoy St. Paul's Parish Hall. We have great exercise class[es] [and] board games. We will honor Ms. Ann Henderson for 30 years of dedicated service..

"We welcome all seniors to join the celebration on November 21, and bring a friend to lunch," Tammy the program coordinator, said.
