Oct. 3 Tee Off And Help A Kid
The annual outing is held in honor of the late Archie Mavromatis. On Friday, October 3, the third annual Achilles Mavromatis Memorial Golf Classic will tee off at the Douglaston Golf Course, 63-30 Marathon Pkwy. in Bayside.
All, proceeds will benefit the not-for-profit Greek Children's Fund, whose resources go to Greek, Cypriot and Greek-American children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
A fee of $175 per golfer includes greens fees, a golf cart, choice of two refreshments, a hot buffet breakfast and lunch with a choice of beer or soda served at the turn.
Registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. with a "shotgun" start at 8 a.m. For those unable to get to the game, a buffet reception with open bar is only $60 and goes from 2 to 5 p.m.
Each golfer will automatically be entered in the $1,000,000-shot contest, the $2,500 60-footputt contest (for four winners) as well as other player prizes, raffles and giveaways. A minimum deposit of $100 per person is required to reserve a place at the golf classic.
By becoming a sponsor of the annual golf outing in honor of the late Achilles "Archie" Mavromatis, a Greek-American community activist and Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, you and/or your company will be featured in promotional brochures, including invitations, news releases of the event and correspondence to registered golf participants. All contributors will be listed in the event program and sponsorship board.
•Hole Sponsor, limited item, $300. Your name and/or your company name are displayed on a 14- inch flag designating you as the sponsor of that hole. The Douglaston Course has a limit of 22 holes. All sponsors' holes are based on a first come-first serve basis.
•Tee Sponsors, $150 each or two for $250. All tee signs are 2 by 4 feet, and are custom made, full color and laminated on a foam board displaying your name and/or your company name at the tee or green of choice. Logos are an additional $25 each.
•Platinum Sponsor, $500, entitles you to a round of golf, a hole sponsorship and a 2 by 4-foot custom sign.
•Gold Sponsor, $450, entitles you to a round of golf, two 2 by 4-foot custom signs and a golf cart.
•Corporate Sponsor, $1,200, entitles four players to a round of golf, two personalized golf carts with your name and/or your company name, three 2 by 4-foot custom signs displaying your name and/or company name at the tee or green of choice and one additional dinner guest. Logos are an additional $25 each.
•Golf Cart Sponsor, $100 per cart. Have your name and/or your company name displayed on a banner sign on a golf cart, or just personalize your own cart during the game.
•Beverage Cart Sponsor, $250. Your name and/or your company name will be displayed on the refreshments cart.
•Breakfast Sponsor, $500. Have your name displayed as a prominent sponsor of the breakfast reception. A complimentary dinner for one is included.
•Dinner Sponsor, $750. Your name and/or your company name will be displayed at every table as a prominent sponsor of the dinner reception. A complimentary dinner for one is included.
