Free Synagogue of Flushing Presents Female Comics Film

The Free Synagogue of Flushing will present a screening of the acclaimed film, "Making Trouble" on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m., at 41- 60 Kissena Blvd., Flushing. The awardwinning documentary tells the story of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century—Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein. The documentary, hosted by four of today's funniest women— Judy Gold, Jackie Hoffman, Cory Kahaney, and Jessica Kirson—is billed as the true saga of what it means to be Jewish, female and funny. The 2007 film is a project of the Jewish Women's Archive, a nonprofit organization.
