Photo by Dan Miller/DMD Images Following their return from a West Coast road trip on Monday, June 9, the New York Mets joined General Manager Omar Minaya, Manager Willie Randolph, Mets Hall of Famer Tom Seaver, former Mets stars Darryl Strawberry and Rusty Staub and Mets TV and radio announcer Hall of Famer Bob Murphy for the second annual Mets Foundation Teammates in the Community Charity Fundraiser at Richards in Greenwich, Connecticut. The Mets raised $500,000 at last year's event.
Guests from throughout the metropolitan area had the opportunity to meet and mingle with Mets players, take photos, obtain autographs and bid on once-in-a-lifetime baseball experiences with the team's stars, including a pitching lesson, hitting lesson, football toss, bullpen session, race around the bases, catch on the field, an exclusive tour of Citi Field, and a night in a suite.
