St. Joseph's Girls' Volleyball Win 4th, 8th Grade Titles

Photo Mel Ricks The subnovice fourth grade girls and intermediate eighth grade girls' volleyball teams at St. Joseph's School, 28-46 44th St., Astoria both won their respective division championships on Saturday, April 26 in tournaments played at Archbishop Molloy H.S.
The eighth grade intermediate team played first, at 11:15 a.m. They lost the first set, but came back to take the next two, beating Holy Child in the best two out of three sets.
The St. Joseph's fourth grade subnovice girls played next, at 12:30 p.m. They beat St. Thomas More in two straight sets to win the championship.
