Robber Holds Up 2 Flushing Banks
Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying an individual wanted for two bank robberies. Surveillance camera photographs of the suspect at one location accompany this article.
On Monday, February 11, 2008 at approximately 11:12 a.m. at the Apple Bank branch at 43-73 Kissena Blvd., within the confines of the 109th Precinct, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and while displaying a silver-colored cylindrical object passed a note demanding money. The teller complied. The suspect fled the location on foot.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at approximately 11:50 a.m. at the Flushing Savings Bank, 44-43 Kissena Blvd., within the confines of the 109th Precinct, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and while displaying a small silver handgun, passed a note demanding csh. The teller complied. The suspect fled the location on foot.
There were no reported injuries in either case.
