12-Year-Old Missing From Roosevelt Island Home

Twelve-year-old Jaslyn Gonzales has been missing from her Roosevelt Island home since January 19. Twelve-year-old Jaslyn Gonzales has been missing from her Roosevelt Island home since January 19. Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding Jaslyn Gonzales, a 12-year-old black female, who was last seen on January 19 at approximately 12:15 p.m. in the vicinity of her residence, 4 River Rd., Roosevelt Island, in the confines of the 114th Precinct. Gonzales is about 4 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 98 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and gold hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white Sketcher sneakers and a black jacket with gray fur on the collar. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

An increase in cellphone and iPod thefts has led the 114th Precinct to conduct a cellphone and iPod registration drive. To register a cellphone or iPod with the precinct to facilitate speedy recovery if the item is stolen, call the 114th Precinct Crime Prevention office at 718-626-9324.

Sunday, February 3:

• Two Hispanic males, both 22 years old, were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, resisting arrest, harassment and disorderly conduct after they were observed fighting in public at 35-35 Steinway St. Another Hispanic male, 20 years old, and a Hispanic female, 24 years old, were each charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after they refused to leave the location after police attempted to disperse the crowd and attempted to prevent the arrest of another person.

• A 20-year-old Hispanic male was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, bail jumping, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after he was seen at Steinway Street and 36th Avenue swinging a club with a nail at the end in a threatening manner and upon apprehension, was found in possession of marijuana.

• At 21-13 Astoria Blvd,, a 32-year-old Hispanic male refused to pay for a beverage he had been served and upon exiting the establishment, ripped the front door off the hinges. He was charged with criminal mischief and theft of service.

• A 21-year-old white male was observed punching and shoving a victim at 33-17 33rd St. He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

• A 22-year-old white male was charged with assault, bail jumping and disorderly conduct after he was observed at 36th Avenue and 34th Street punching a victim and was found to be wanted on an active warrant.

• Two Hispanic males 23 and 24 years old were charged with criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and violation of a local law after they were found in possession of marijuana and alcohol in public at Ditmars Boulevard and 45th Street.

• A 25-year-old Hispanic male was observed fighting in public at 33-17 36th Ave. and was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

• A 32-year-old Hispanic female was charged with assault, criminal mischief and harassment after she punched a victim in the face several times at 21st Avenue and 29th Street.

• A 22-year-old Hispanic male was charged with attempting to prevent another person from being apprehended by fleeing from the scene of an accident by vehicle. Upon car stop at Steinway Street and 36th Avenue, he was found in possession of marijuana.

• A 54-year-old Asian male was charged with assault and harassment after he struck and attempted to choke a victim at 31-52 48th St.

• At 43-12 23rd Ave., a 27-year-old Hispanic male illegally passed an emergency vehicle and struck it. Upon further investigation, he exhibited signs of intoxication. He was charged with failure to obey a traffic device and DWI.

• A 25-year-old Hispanic male was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he was observed fighting in public at 33-17 36th Ave.

Saturday, February 2:

• A 42-year-old white male was charged with assault, menacing and harassment after he punched a victim in the face at Steinway Street and 31st Avenue

• A 41-year-old white male was charged with reckless endangerment, driving an uninsured vehicle and a traffic device violation after he was observed at 30-90 Steinway St. running a red light and almost striking several pedestrians.

• A 39-year-old white male was observed drinking alcohol in public at 24th Street and 20th Avenue and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.

• Two Hispanic males 24 and 25 years old were found to be acting disorderly in public at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards and were found to be wanted on an active warrant. They were charged with disorderly conduct.

Friday, February 1:

• A 45-year-old Asian male bit and scratched two victims at 30-17 34th St. He was charged with assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child and harassment.

• A 14-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault after he kicked a victim and pushed her into a pole at Crescent Street and 36th Avenue.

• A 50-year-old black male was charged with grand larceny after he stole a victim's bag containing $135,000 at 41-01 Broadway.

• Two Hispanic males 18 and 19 years old were charged with criminal possession of marijuana after they were observed with marijuana in public at 34-24 36th St.

• A 31-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault after he punched a victim multiple times in the face and eye. The incident took place at 25-24 Crescent St.

Thursday, January 31:

• A 22-year-old Hispanic male was charged with theft of service and criminal trespass after he entered the transit system at 31st Street and Broadway by crawling under a turnstile.

• A 29-year-old white male was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, unlawful imprisonment and possession of burglar's tools after he forcibly entered a victim's vehicle at 25- 95 45th St. and refused to let the victim leave or call for help.

• A 19-year-old white female was charged with assault, resisting arrest and harassment after she punched a victim several times in the face at 29th Street and 24th Avenue.
