Mark, a 1996 recipient of a Judge Charles V a l l o n e Scholarship, and an alumnus of Corpus Christi Parochial School, Loyola H.S., Manhattan College and St. John's University School of Law, was promoted from First Lieutenant to Captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Office in a ceremony with Congressmember Charles Rangel officiating and his parents, Angela and John Mark, and his grandmother, Mary Luca, in attendance. Rangel, the ranking member of the New Y o r k Congressional Delegation, is also an Army veteran.

Mark is stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he is training for airborne operations.
