LIC Church Seeks Winter Clothing For Needy

Officials at St. George's Coptic Christian Orthodox Church are seeking donations of winter clothing and blankets for the needy. Used coats, gloves, scarves, shoes and blankets donated to the drive at the Long island City church should be clean and in good condition, Saad Seddik church spokesperson said.

"The need for warm coats, clothing and blankets does not end with the holiday season", said Seddik. "We hope through this drive to be able to provide warmth to those in need throughout the winter months."

Donations can be dropped off to Marina Naguib or Mina Hanna any Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 38-25 31st St. in Long Island City. - Liz Goff
