FIAOQ Holds Elections

On Wednesday, December 12, the Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens, Inc. re-elected Joseph DiPietro as president and elected Joseph Gaeta as first vice-president and Jerry Iannece as second vice-president.

The Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens is a not-for-profit tax-exempt umbrella organization made up of more than 35 Italian social, cultural, religious and trade organizations. It is the largest organization of its type in the state of New York. It maintains a district office in Astoria, and is the sole custodian of two soccer fields donated by Con Ed.

FIAOQ conducts numerous programs open to the general public every year such as ESL Courses, citizenship/voter registration drives, soccer camps and tournaments and 5 K runs, as well as sponsoring the annual Queens County Columbus Parade. For more information, call Jerry Iannece at 718-961-5550.
