St. Nicholas Holds Clothing Drive For Vets
On Saturday December 1, members of the Greek Orthodox Shrine Church of St. Nicholas in Flushing, with the help of adult volunteers headed by Nicholas Zillas, took clothes accumulated through a clothing drive held this winter to St. Albans Domiciliary Care Program for homeless veterans. Zillas expressed thanks to all volunteers who brought the clothes to the church. All suits were hung on hangers and smaller articles packed in boxes. The volunteers drove the clothing to St. Albans in Jamaica. Shown are the volunteers: Nicholas Zillas, Arthur Zillas, Sandy Psomas and Athena Zillas Carr.
