9 Charged with Fighting, Disorderly Conduct

Sunday, November 18 was less than restful for police of the 114th Police Precinct. At 43-36 Ditmars Blvd. a total of nine individuals were charged with various offenses related to disorderly conduct and fighting in public. Two Hispanic males 22 and 29 years old who were obstructing pedestrian traffic and acting violently in public were charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Two other Hispanic males, 23 and 24 years old, were fighting in public and charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Three Hispanic males 22, 26 and 28 years old, observed throwing glass bottles from a window at 43- 36 Ditmars Blvd., were charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and a 20-year-old Hispanic female and a 24-yearold Hispanic male were charged with obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct after they refused to move out of the path of a police vehicle being used to transport a prisoner.

In other events on Sunday, November 18:

• Two Hispanic males 22 and 27 years old were charged with urinating in public and disorderly conduct after they were observed urinating in public and causing a scene at 21-15 41st St.

• A 19-year-old Hispanic male was charged with aggravated harassment, assault and disorderly conduct after he slapped a victim in the face multiple times at Steinway Street and 23rd Road.

• At 8-63 Astoria Blvd. an 18-year-old Hispanic male observed drinking beer in public and who could not produce valid identification was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. At the same location, a 32-year-old white male who was selling alcohol to others without a liquor license was charged with operating an unlicensed bottle club, operating an unlicensed warehouse used for liquor storage and sale of alcohol without a license.

• A 45-year-old Hispanic male observed urinating in public at 23rd Avenue and 45th Street and who was unable to produce valid identification was charged with urinating in public.

• A 20-year-old white female was charged with assault, criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct after she slapped a victim in the face and broke the victim's glasses. The incident took place at Steinway Street and 23rd Road.

• A 45-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after he threatened a female victim by putting a knife to her throat. The incident took place at 26-05 14th Pl.

• A 33-year-old black male was charged with bail jumping, having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and failure to respond to a desk appearance ticket after he was observed drinking beer in public at 50-07 31st Ave. and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant.

Monday, November 19:

• A 31-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass after he was found on property at Steinway Street and 35 Avenue without permission and found in possession of cocaine and narcotics.

Saturday, November 17:

• A 19-year-old Asian male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched a victim in the eye at 25th Avenue and Steinway Street.

• Two white males 19 and 20 years old were charged with criminal possession of marijuana after they were observed smoking marijuana in public at 32-14 34th St.

• A 24-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at Broadway and 42nd Street and could not produce valid identification.

• A 25-year-old Hispanic male was charged with urinating in public after he was observed urinating in public at 35-35 35th Ave. On further investigation, he was found to be wanted on an active warrant.

• Two Hispanic males 24 and 25 years old were charged with obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass, unlawful possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after they were observed inside 25-22 34th Ave. without permission and refused to leave. On further investigation, the 24-year-old Hispanic male was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana.

• A 25-year-old Hispanic male entered the New York City Subway Transit system at 30th Avenue and 31st Street without paying the required fare by jumping the turnstile and was charged with bail jumping and theft of service.

• An 18-year-old white male was observed in possession of and smoking marijuana in public at 21st Street and 30th Avenue and was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

• A 28-year-old Asian male and three white males 27, 38 and 59 years old were charged with theft of service and criminal trespass after each was observed entering the New York City subway transit system at Broadway and 31st Street through the emergency exit gate without paying the required fare.

• A 29-year-old white male was charged with reckless endangerment, menacing, harassment and DWI after he threatened harm to a victim, ran a red light and when he was stopped at 43-20 25th Ave., exhibited signs of intoxication.

Friday, November 16:

• A 28-year-old white male was charged with burglary and aggravated harassment after he repeatedly called a victim and attempted to enter 34-52 Crescent St. via the fire escape.

Thursday, November 15:

• A 27-year-old Hispanic male was observed urinating in public while drinking beer inside a closed New York City park at 30th Street and 30th Avenue and was charged with criminal trespass, urinating in public and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.

• A 21-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he repeatedly punched a victim at 34-43 9th St.

• A 15-year-old black female and a 16- year-old black male were charged with robbery, assault and harassment at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., after they forcibly stole a victim's property.

• A 26-year-old Hispanic female was charged with assault after she punched a victim in the mouth at Steinway Street and Broadway.

• A 25-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed with marijuana in public at 36th Avenue and 33rd Street.

• A 21-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was found in possession of marijuana in public at Broadway and 31st Street.
