Steinway Senior Center Celebrates 20 Years
On a typical afternoon at the Steinway Senior Center, members try their luck in a bingo game.
Steinway Senior Center is celebrating its 20- year anniversary by inviting seniors 60 years of age and older to join and enjoy the many activities offered. These include bingo, aerobics, arts and crafts, dancing to live music, trips, monthly parties and special events. An experienced social worker provides social services on site, and Meals-On-Wheels are offered for the homebound.
On Thursday, November 29 the center will hold a baked goods raffle of home-baked cakes, pies, muffins and cookies. Donations are welcome as well.
Steinway Senior Center is located at 23-40 Steinway St., Astoria and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch is served weekdays at noon. For more information, call 718- 728-8472.
