 | | Twelve-Year-Old Violin Prodigy At LaGuardia Performing Arts Center's Jazz Jam Jonathan Russell, a 12-year-old violin prodigy, will be performing a number of jazz selections on December 7 at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center's jazz jam session.The young jazz musician, who has performed with such great bandleaders as Les Paul, Bucky Pizzarelli and Ed Polcer, will join the center's popular house band. Aspiring local musicians are invited to attend and join in the jam session while jazz aficionados can sit back and enjoy the music. The performance, which begins at 8 p.m., will be held in LPAC's Little Theatre at 47 Avenue and Van Dam Street, Long Island City. Theatergoers can take the #7, E, G, V, and R trains to the center. Take the 7 train to 33 Rawson or the E, G, V, and R to Queens Plaza, 10 minutes from Grand Central Station. General admission is $13; students and musicians are $10.
